Hearts & Spades

Hearts and Spades is a VB program that I wrote ages ago. It hasn't been updated for about that long either. However, it does play a pretty game of both hearts and spades - not all of the strategies that I wanted to implement are done, but it's not too shabby. The cool thing is that it allows you to play Hearts, Spades, or Team Spades. Also, when playing regular Hearts or Spades, you can have 3, 4, or even 5 players. Additionally you can configure a whole bunch of stuff including background, card design, card sorting order for both suit and value, rules such as whether or not first blood is allowed, game speed, animation, sound, etc. You can even replay a particular hand, show a count of all of the cards that have already been played, show everybody's cards, swap hands with your partner in Team Spades (so you don't have a play a nil-bid hand), etc. Fun stuff!
